Academic Alert Program

“My Success is My Responsibility”

  • Is it possible to raise my GPA in one semester?
YES
  • Is it possible to improve my study habits in one semester?
YES
  • Is it possible to find resources on campus to assist me in improving my GPA?
YES
  • Is it possible for me to keep my scholarships?
YES
  • Is it possible for me to make Dean’s List this semester?
YES
  • Is it possible for me to make President’s Honor Roll this semester?
YES

Notice a common theme in the answers to these questions? The common theme being, “Yes, anything is possible”. The key is to develop and execute an academic and personal plan of action for the upcoming semester.

The Academic Alert program consists of many programs and services designed specifically for students who have set realistic semester goals and who want to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

These programs and services include academic success workshops, proactive academic advising sessions, self-assessments, and Strategies for Success (SLS 1501) courses. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities early in the semester and to use the many academic resources available on campus throughout the semester.

Academic Alert programming is facilitated by first year academic advising offices through the Student Success Center. Connect with your first year academic advisor for more detailed information on how you can develop the skills necessary for academic success and how you can incorporate academic alert programming into your semester schedule.
