Parents

It can be overwhelming when a parent/guardian realizes that their student has been placed on academic probation. It is not uncommon for many first-year students who were successful academically in high school to suddenly be placed on academic probation during their first year in college.

Beginning college can be a challenging transition to students because in the college environment they are expected to be adults and take responsibility for their actions and learning process. Students need to know the importance of life management skills and how it affects their success as a student. Your support and guidance during your student's academic probation period is instrumental to their future success.

This site will provide you with strategies, helpful tips, and serve as a resource to bringing your student into academic success! Please use the links below to help you navigate through the parent resources.
